See an artist at work in the rooms of Palazzo Pretorio

For seven days she relocates her studio to the rooms of the Prato Museum interacting not only with masterpieces on display, but also with the building that houses them, returning an illustration of the identity and recollection of the city, preserved in one of the most beautiful medieval public buildings in Italy. The initiative opens the Pretorio Studio section, curated by Veronica Caciolli.

Paola Angelini was born in San Benedetto del Tronto in 1983 and is already known in Prato by her project "To look at the sky, You become sky" which was entered in the 2013 Contemporanea Festival. After an initial 'inspection' to the collection and the subsequent realization of an artist's book, full of drawings and paintings, she will continue to undertake and complete all into one great picture gallery which will illustrate not only the collection but the Museum as a whole. The colours used will be the same as those used by Adolfo Natalini, Piero Guicciardini and Marco Magni in the preparation of Palazzo Pretorio.

As to the subject matter of the paintings, the artist will interact with the works as she progresses and thereby create a kind of visual collage.
All of the work done will then be finalized and completed later in her studio, aiming to return it as a unitary idea of the collection and of the Museum. The entire cycle will be on display at the museum during 2017.

Palazzo Pretorio is the perfect location to enable one to indulge in a highly creative process and which also preserves the works of art in the place where they are created.

The whole presentation can be shared for the price of one ticket.
